The Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh is going to take a big decision to end the dispute of benami affiliates and ownership and bring all your urban properties under the tax net . It is being told that in Uttar Pradesh, CM Yogi Adityanath is preparing to implement Urban Property Ownership Record (UPOR / UPOR) scheme, under which now your property will be linked to Aadhaar card.
Significantly, this scheme is already in force in Karnataka. Now in Uttar Pradesh too, the property of all urban property owners will be linked to the Aadhaar card. This will prevent forgery in the renaming of properties, as well as help the municipalities recover tax and increase tax collection . It is being told that after the implementation of this scheme, Benami property, more than one property will be easily identified in the state.
Let us know that in big cities, there is no strong account of ownership of properties, especially with the municipal corporations and there is a dispute about the properties. On the initiative of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s Economic Advisor KV Raju, an exercise is underway to implement the Urban Property Ownership Record Scheme. In the past, the suggestions at the high-level meeting chaired by KV Raju have also been discussed ATS Kabana High.
The scheme will apply in these states
The UPOR scheme is still in its initial stages and will be implemented in the first phase in Kanpur, Agra, Ghaziabad, Varanasi, Meerut and Prayagraj apart from the capital Lucknow. The government had also sought proposals from e-tendering to implement the scheme in these cities. In the meeting chaired by KV Raju, suggestions were also received from representatives of several companies. KV Rudresh, consultant of the Karnataka Government Department of Survey and Settlement, said that the scheme has been implemented in most urban and rural areas of Karnataka. Since planning is very challenging, it can take some time to implement in UP.
This Is How Property Will Linked
IDs of urban area assets will be created and linked to biometric and Aadhaar cards. The digital door number of the property will be constructed. Through it all the records will be with the municipal corporations.
High level committee will be formed
The state government will seek technical assistance from the Survey of India and a high level committee will be set up under the chairmanship of retired IAS officer. In this committee, a high power committee will be formed under the chairmanship of retired IAS officer of the state government for coordination in many departments.
